Sister Wives fans know that Kody and Robyn Brown don’t love that the Friday night dinners stopped with the kids. This might have been one of the first signs that the family was falling apart. Now a new Reddit thread has fans speculating what really stopped these dinners.
What Stopped Those Friday Night Dinners?
It was revealed on a recent episode that the Brown family stopped Friday night dinners simply because the kids were busy on Friday and Saturday nights. The thing is they still had a lot of young children who would be free to dine as a family. They also could have moved them earlier or later to make it easier for the older kids to attend or even went for another night of the week when they weren’t busy.
One fan who started the thread shared their thoughts saying, “I think Robyn or Robyn and Kody wanted him at her house on the weekends so he could be dad to her kids, so they either stopped them or demanded that they now have them at Robyn’s house. And of course if they didn’t do what Robyn wanted and how she wanted they weren’t “welcoming” and “including” her and her kids.”
A lot of fans agree that there was another reason the Friday night dinners came to a stop. It doesn’t seem like it was just because the Sister Wives kids were busy. Here is what some of them had to say:
- Also agree with you that if family dinners were as important to the adults as they claim they were, why not switch nights, switch the mealtime (breakfast on Sunday morning instead?) Or keep it the same and whatever teenagers can make it, should attend.

- I agree it wasn’t important to any of the adults. They all claimed that they stopped all of the get togethers because of Robyn but I don’t believe that was the issue. I do agree that a bulk of the kids were wanting their own lives. It’s one thing doing that when they are mostly young but not realistic with teens. The other thought I had was the houses were not big enough for all of the kids and adults before Robyn but add Robyn’s bunch and the fact that they are all bigger in size due to growing up….how in the heck would any family not feel uncomfortable in a family get Together. I know it’s a choice to have a large family but it never Made much sense to me.
