We know General Hospital legendary actress Jacklyn Zeman breathed her last on May 9 this year. Many fans and friends gathered on that day to pay their respects and to pray for her soul. But now, her closest circle came with a thoughtful idea. Her co-stars and friends decided to once again remember the icon and recognize her talent. Therefore, they paid tribute to Zeman on July 30 to celebrate her life.
Following the celebration, Jackie’s co-stars shared the photos and a few heartfelt words on their social media handles. “A packed house today in Malibu for Jackie,” wrote her longtime co-star, Kin Shriner. He also posted her photo alongside his photo, toasting her in her hometown. Not only co-stars but even General Hospital’s former writer, Michele Val Jean, offered her respects. She wrote that they celebrated the beautiful soul and that she would carry Zeman always. Furthermore, the crew of GH paid their share of tributes with such appealing words.
General Hospital: The Era Of Bobbie Spencer
The Emmy-nominated actress who played nurse Bobbie Spencer passed away at the age of 70. She passed away after a short battle with cancer on May 9, 2023. The devastating news of her death was announced by General Hospital executive producer Frank Valentini. She left her soul at Los Robles Regional Medical Center, Thousand Oaks, California.
Jacklyn Zeman stepped foot in General Hospital sets in 1977 as Barbara Jean Spencer (Bobbie). She was one of the longest-lasting cast members of any Soap opera. GH viewers saw Jackie in about 900 episodes of the show which centered in Port Charles. Interestingly, a couple of generations must have seen this legend on screen!
