General Hospital Update: Monday, January 15 – Esme’s Court Twist – Nikolas Wants to Meet Ace – Sonny Must Stop Dex

General Hospital (GH) spoilers update for Monday, January 15, reveals that Laura Collins (Genie Francis) will corner Ava Jerome (Maura West) at the courthouse and ask her to drop the charges against Esme Prince (Avery Pohl), but Ava will think Esme deserves far worse!

After Ava shuts down Laura’s idea and takes a phone call, Laura will approach Esme inside the courtroom and ask how she’s holding up.

Esme will admit she’d be better if Spencer Cassadine (Nicholas Alexander Chavez) were there with Ace Cassadine (Jay and Joey Clay) like he said he would be.

As Esme wonders what’s keeping Spencer away, drama will be erupting back at Laura’s place.

That’s where Nikolas Cassadine (Adam Huss) just showed up out of the blue, so Spencer will inevitably lash out once he gets over the shock.

Nikolas will have to explain why he stayed gone all this time, but his answers may not be satisfactory as far as Spencer’s concerned.

It looks like Nikolas will also want to meet Ace, but Spencer is bound to be protective of his little brother as he tries to navigate this whole situation.

Back in the courtroom, Martin Grey (Michael E. Knight) will apparently target Molly Lansing-Davis’ (Kristen Vaganos) maternal desires and try to use them against her.

It seems Martin will play up how Molly will be separating a mother and child if she helps get Esme convicted.

The judge will eventually ask for Esme’s plea as this hearing moves forward. However, there are signs that maybe Esme will skate with minimal consequences.

GH spoilers say Ava’s about to blow her top, so she may be outraged if Esme doesn’t do jail time as expected.

Over with Josslyn Jacks (temporarily played by Courtney Fulk), she’ll fear she’s pushed Adam Wright (Joshua Benard) over the edge by ratting him out to their RA, Kiley (Jo Yuan).

Adam flew off the handle when he realized Kiley sent counselor information to his online student portal since his mom and dad have the password.

Since Adam clearly isn’t in a good frame of mind right now, he may try to end his own life.

Adam previously made a comment to Josslyn about how he might as well throw himself off a bridge if he didn’t get a high grade on a test.

The show’s established Adam’s worsening mental health issues, so Josslyn will make a disturbing discovery and fight to save him before it’s too late.

At the hospital, Cyrus Renault (Jeff Kober) will get a visit from Nina Corinthos (Cynthia Watros), who’ll confront him for blackmailing her and then making things worse by gloating to Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) about what he knew.

Cyrus will act apologetic, but Nina will think he needs to prove it by refusing to testify against Sonny for the beating.

In exchange, Nina might vow not to tell Laura about Cyrus posing as a priest and being so manipulative.

Cyrus’ image is important to him – and so is his attempt to connect with his half-sister. Nina may insist they have to help each other out as she ultimately reaches an agreement with Cyrus.

Next, Kristina Corinthos-Davis (Kate Mansi) will stop by Sonny’s office and address Nina’s betrayal since she kept quiet about being the SEC snitch.

Although Kristina won’t be happy about the pain Sonny’s in, she may hint about forgiveness being possible. Kristina may put in a good word for Nina since Sonny was on cloud nine with her before.

Since Kristina presumably got updates on Sonny’s arrest off-screen, she’ll fret over her father spinning out even further.

Kristina won’t want Sonny doing anything else that could put his freedom in jeopardy, but he’ll push her to just trust him.

Although Sonny was planning on using Dex Heller (Evan Hofer) to take Cyrus out, he’ll change his mind and decide to call off the hit.

Unfortunately, Dex won’t get the phone call as he puts on some scrubs and prepares to sneak in Cyrus’ room for a fatal IV injection.

Sonny may have to try harder if he wants to stop Dex, but it’s also possible someone else will intervene instead.

General Hospital spoilers say there’ll be a close call as Dex proceeds as planned, so stay tuned for all the wild news ahead.
