There is hardly any bigger news in the soapverse these days than that of Steve Burton’s return to General Hospital as Jason Morgan. It has only been two years that he has been away, yet it feels like an era. Thankfully, that era of waiting and longing is finally over. The GH fanbase is unanimously elated at Jason’s return. However, as tradition dictates, every return after a sabbatical must come with a shocker tied to its tail! So, let’s take a look at what bombshell disclosures could come with or for Jason!
In case anyone needs a refresher, Jason Morgan was presumed dead on General Hospital. He was crushed when a cave collapsed upon him. But behold! Jason has survived and is finally ready to return. Considering that the makers had left an open end with Jason’s supposed demise, his return was something fans had been anticipating for a long time. Especially ever since the COVID mandates were removed.
This Is What Jason May Walk Into Amid General Hospital Return
Now that the man of the moment is back, let’s see if he can actually pick life up where he left it in Port Charles on General Hospital. Well, he may be able to slide right back into his mob life with Sonny. But his romance with Dr. Britt is another matter altogether. As we already know, she bravely passed away after trying to fight The Hook killer. So, the first jolt that Jason gets upon his return will be that of his time partner’s demise. Unfortunately, we know, as a matter of fact, that she did die, so Doc is not coming back for a romantic reunion for sure.
However, Sam-Jason and Carly-Jason fans can rejoice in General Hospital. Both fandoms are not very happy with the heroines’ current pairings with Dante and Drew, respectively. So, Jason’s return sans Britt opens the door for a possible rekindling of a romance with at least one of the ladies. But romance aside, the biggest mystery that may unravel is actually related to Dex Heller!
Could Jason Be Dex’s Father?
The rumor mill is spilling that Dex might actually be Jason Morgan’s son on General Hospital. Yes, he shared his back story about having grown up with a family full of abusive brothers. But think about it! What if Dex was adopted? Maybe the brothers knew, and that’s why they bullied him so much! In fact, ever since Dex arrived in PC, there has been non-stop chatter about him actually being either AJ or Jason’s son. Now, obviously, AJ is very much dead and not returning. So Jason being the dad would make more sense!
